The Antique Toy Roadshow founder and Roadshow Manager, Joel Magee, was born and raised in Sioux City, Iowa. Joel has fond memories in particular of harsh Iowan winters spent inside, playing with some of his favorite toys. These fond memories are the reason he began collecting toys in the 1980s. He believe that toys bring people closer positive memories of their childhoods, also allowing the exchange of nostalgia and camaraderie between one another. Joel often views himself as a counselor and mediator so that the owners can make the best decisions possible.
